the weekend got to me

I’m at death’s door, I was in AC all weekend, I barely slept, and somehow I’m doing TWO shows tonight…

but it’s been my experience that the worse I feel the better the show is, SO TONIGHT’S GONNA BE OFF THE HOOK

in closing, come to Chicks & Giggles and Check Your Cool tonight,

inclosed is a picture of me and jeff chestnut in atlantic city playing a prank on America

Issues with The Humor Issue

The Roundtable Discussion was posed with this question, that didn’t reeeeeally get addressed:

Let’s talk about this hyperspecialization going on: shows like Chicks and Giggles, Asian Invasion. Does it bring more people to shows, or is it marginalizing?

It brings more people to shows. And there you have it.

Chicks & Giggles is the most popular show in the lounge at Mo Pitkins, if not the whole venue.

“Marginalizing”- come on, come clean. There’s too many shows in the city, why NOT do something to make your show stand out. Why are we even talking about Chicks? Because it’s popular and it’s popular because it fills a niche. More power to them! Also, women in comedy have a tougher go of it than the men, let them have their own show, why not? WHY NOT??
